## Description

Nit Free Products

Review: Absolutely Lice FREE in one evening! - Friends, I was once like you. Frantically reading product review after review, searching for the magical solution to my sudden lice problem. Search no further. Does this have electricity that will kill lice? No it doesn't. Does this have pesticide in the teeth to kill lice? Nope, not at all. Does this have teeth so close together, and so perfectly grooved that absolutely nothing will escape? DING DING DING! Stop scratching your head and order it. It's only $10. You're going to spend more on lotions and potions that you'll end up returning to the local walmart, than you will on this comb, and this is the only thing you'll need. I will tell you why just as soon as you order. Go! Order it right now, and then come back to read my sparkling review, k? (you ordered it, right?) Ok, here goes: Friday afternoon at pickup, I noticed a nit on a strand of my daughters hair. I looked closer, and can now see several. Upon even closer inspection, I can no longer deny it. This child has lice. Feces! *please don't let the little one have it, please don't let the little one have it* chants through my mind as my other child, the curly headed one, skips toward me from kindergarten. I lean in for a look... oh. my. lord. The older one CAUGHT it from the little one (I can tell, because on a scale of 1-to-HOLY CRAP, the older child is a one and the baby is about a 4) After I pick myself off the ground, we head to the pharmacy. So much to choose from! What is a mom to do? I stand there, confusedly trying to decide between Nix and Rid, Store brand and Lice Freee (total waste of money, by the way. The "active ingredient" Naturum muriaticum, is a fancy name for salt! $9 for a sprayable bottle of salt, thankyouvery much.. and yes, of course I bought it). I settle on absolutely every version, deciding to make my decision at home where I can be more comfortable in my neuroses. If you're like me, this is your first foray into the world of lice. Well, this is technically my second. When my oldest came home from the second grade with a louse and a few nits, I did what any self respecting mother would do - I shaved his head down to nothing and didn't bother with it. But I can't do that now. Good lord, why did you give me GIRLS?! But anyway, this is our first time with real lice! We can't ignore it. We can't shave it off. We can't drop fat man on Nagasaki. We have to be grown ups about this. We have to handle it. There are a few things that you should know about lice! ***all gleaned from the internets. I make no warranty express or implied about the factual accuracy of my statements. Whew!*** *Lice are spread through HEAD TO HEAD contact. You've warned your children not to share combs, but have you warned them about the evils of HUGGING!?!?! (this is how my babe got it. She's... loveable. We call her Elvira) *Lice have three life stages, and to effectively eliminate lice, you must attack them at all of their life stages. *Nymphs (baby lice) and Eggs have no CNS - Central Nervous System. Since pesticides work by attacking the CNS of an adult louse, guess who doesn't die from pesticide shampoo? Can you guess? I bet you can! EGGS/NITS and Nymphs! You're so smart, I knew you could do it. Now grab up one of the hundreds of bottles of lice shampoo you've already purchased and read on there somewhere about how you don't have to remove the nits, and how this kills Lice AND Eggs so children can return to school faster.. THEY'RE LYING. The absolute ONLY WAY to eliminate lice is by stopping them where they start - Nits Section off the hair, get it wet and use some conditioner, and start combing. Comb until you think you can comb no longer, and then comb again. I'm not going to advocate against using the pesticides, but you HAVE to use a quality nit comb if you want this problem gone. I've read countless stories on the internet about cases of lice that just wont go away. I wonder if maybe it's because they're killing the adults and not bothering to remove the eggs that will be adults in just a few short weeks? Maybe? Come on guys, this is common sense. Remove the problem, and the problem no longer exists. This comb will help you do that. Now, I have to say, you're in for the heavy lifting. Just as there are no magical pills or sprays to lose weight, there are no magical pills or sprays to lose lice. You have to comb. You have to sit there and comb the ever loving crap out of your precious little snowflakes hair until it is FABULOUS and Lice free, but the results are immediate and lasting. Afterward, I recommend combing once a week until you're convinced. My children came home with lice one week ago, and yesterday at their second combing check, there wasn't so much as an empty nit casing. Infestation to Lice free in one evening. Still clear 7 days later.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works. well made

Not flimsy works well

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect tool to beat lice! More info in review for lice problems!
*by K***O on January 22, 2016*

I ordered this comb because I found about 15 nits and 4 to 5 hatchlings on my six year olds head. I was able to remove them with just my hands and the plastic purple comb that comes with the treatment shampoo but I wanted a comb that would last and would make my job a little easier. I ended up doing the 1 day shipping because I found out my 10 year old cousin was covered in lice and I wanted to be able to help her get it taken care of. I want to recommend a page for anyone dealing with lice, it's called http://thenicelicelady.blogspot.com/?m=1 and she has the best advice. She helped me feel so much better about having to deal with lice and make it a task that may take some time but is actually effective. She stresses that there is no need to waste your time cleaning and washing everything the person with lice had come in contact with, you don't have to do any extra cleaning. She also explains why the only tools you'll need to beat the lice is a good fine tooth comb and some cheap conditioner. I took her advice and was able to try it out on my cousin, who has the thickest hair I have ever seen. My daughters hair is thin and blonde so it was easy to find the bugs on her but my cousin has dark brown/black hair that can't even be brushed all the way through with a hair brush and has to brush it in layers. I could see a lot if nits on her but could not visibly see the hatchlings and found one adult louse when I checked her hair dry, the day I realized how bad she had them. That same night I used the purple came that came with the Rexall treatment they had tried, several times, and she was still plagued by the bugs. I did the very bottom layer of hair just to try and start the process and get her some sort of relief, I used the conditioner trick but the purple come was definitely not very good at grabbing onto the nits. On that first round though I filled up three paper towels of hatchlings and nits. If that purple comb or any fine tooth comb is the only one you have that will do also, just make sure you comb through it and get everything you can. The day I got the Terminator comb in I had her take a shower so her hair would be wet and then I put the top part up, not even half up half down since her hair is so thick. I completely saturated her hair in conditioner, I ran out and had to use a spray on detangler on the top part which worked okay but wish I would have had more conditioner instead. After I had her covered I began using the Terminator lice comb and right away I could see how well it grabbed the nits and the hatchlings that i couldn't even see. She had so many that I worked for 2 hours and I know I haven't got everything. The lice lady says to remove what you can and do it everyday until you don't see any nits or lice, brush the comb through for 100 strokes but if you find a bug or nit start again at 1. Then when they are clear after 100 strokes you are supposed to do a wet check every 2-3 days for two weeks but if you find anything lice related the 2 weeks starts over. Okay, after I combed through the bottom layer the best I could I untied the top layer, before this I hadn't seen any large lice but the first comb through I pulled out 2 big lice and some more small ones. Out of the top of her hair I found a lot of medium to adult lice. After I combed through the top layer to the point that I wasn't finding really anything that warranted me messing with her hair much longer, I moved to the bottom to do a quick run through again to make sure any other big lice didn't run down to hide in hair. After each comb through I wiped the comb on a paper towel and made sure there were no bugs or nits stuck in the teeth that would get put back in the hair. When you use the conditioner and comb through it will slide out of the hair on the comb which really helps the bugs to stay in one place while you are still working on the hair. I will be checking her again in Saturday the 23rd, I was going to check tomorrow but her head is a little sore from all the combing. I had her take a shower after I was finished to wash the conditioner out and to get anything I may have loosened with the comb out and washed away. I kind of looked through her hair by lifting up part of it and checking a couple places I knew had a bunch of nits before and I did not see anything. I know I did not get every single lice or nit, but the main thing is to dwindle their numbers and beat the cycle. I was so happy and she was too. This comb is worth every penny. The treatments were 8.00 dollars a piece and they didn't even work. Go to that ladies blog and read. Do your research on these things and you will feel so much better and much more confident about getting rid of them for good. You just have to be a little nit-picky!! ;) As you can see there were some hairs that were pulled out but she is extremely tender headed and handled the whole 2 hours very well, those few hairs do not take away from the star rating because I know this product works and helped me get rid of a nuisance for my little cousin.
