PLYLOX clips make it quick and easy to board up your home so that you can focus on other important issues. To use, simply measure your window casing and be sure that your windows are inset at least 2-1/2" to 3" deep. Once this is established, measure the height x width of the inside of your window casing. Subtract 1/4" from that measurement and cut your plywood to these exact dimensions. Take your clips out of the bag and slide them onto the vertical sides of your plywood. You will need to first place them about 6" from the top and bottom of your plywood shutter, and space them according to the chart in the last picture. If they do not fit tightly on your plywood, simply place the tension leg down on a flat surface and with the heel of your hand, push down on the area of the clip that goes on the plywood until they fit snug. Next, place your plywood shutter system into your window frame, then give it a firm push into the casing. Once you are done, move onto the next window and repeat the process. Once the storm has passed, simply use your fingers behind one side of the clips and remove the tension. Your shutter should pop out of the casing. I just went through Hurricane Irma *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2017* These things are amazing. I just went through Hurricane Irma. I already had some Plylox and installed 10 windows in less than 30 minutes. I just bought 6 more cases so I can do the rest of my windows. These locks went through 115+ winds and never budged an inch. Very simple to remove. I leave mine right on the boards (be sure to mark the boards for which window) and strap them to the garage wall to keep boards straight. Neighbors took a whole day to install their shutters with wing nuts. I did night in less than 30 minutes. Took longer to unstrap the wood. 3 neighbors have them and they all worked like there are suppose too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ MUST HAVE item in hurricane prone areas. *by K***. on Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2017* These clips are a lifesaver for hurricane preparedness. They slide easily over the edge of the plywood and make it simple to cover windows without drilling holes. We have boards cut to fit our windows stacked in our garage and when storm season rolls around we simply slide the clips onto the edge of the wood and push the boards into the window and door frames. The "teeth" on the edge grab the frame and hold the wood in place. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for easy install of plywood for hurricanes *by D***H on Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2020* I have used these before in the past and just ordered another pack to make sure I have plenty on hand for this summer. These are great and make putting up plywood shutters quick and easy. they are bit challenging to remove, but once you figure it out you'll be able to pop them out with a screw driver very quickly. Do understand that these may cause some minor damage to your paint or stucco when removing, but nothing that can't be easily fixed, and it's nothing that would prevent me from recommending these. I wish I could use these on 2nd story windows as well but they won't work due to frame construction up top. I have 9 windows on the lower floor of our house, and with these I can cover them all in less than an hour. I did find that it's helpful to use a single screw to secure them to the plywood while installing, especially with the larger windows.
