**Q: Will they cut armoured cable**
A: I use these for cutting SWA all the time. The metal in SWA is nothing like steel cable (for rigging etc) that is much stronger and these will not cut steel wire rope. SWA is fine!

**Q: Can this cut 12mm steel cable please?**
A: Hello, no, you can only cut copper and aluminum cables

**Q: can this cut padlocks?**
A: I don't know for sure. Cable is a comparitivly soft maluable metal whilst padlock metal is hardened specifically to prevent easy cutting.
It might manage a small padlock but certainly not one of any quality or substance. You need bolt cutters for that, or an angle grinder or hacksaw.

**Q: Will it cut through this electrical cable in our garden which is about 15mm in diameter?**
A: I use this cutter on 120mm copper cable on panel wiring, and 6mm CY 4core cable. I am impressed with how it works, but I haven't used it on swa cable, which I assume is what you have, but at only 15mm it should work easy, hoping it is not live!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Replacement spring availabilty

On my second pair of these, cutting 6mm3c pvcswa on a daily basis, still doing their thing just fine, BUT again the spring on the handle has shattered and the handle has gone all floppy, they still work, just not as intended, does anyone know if a replacement spring is available anywhere, I will buy another set as they’re great but feel bad that such a simple part can render them less usable
