It's real gaff. It's every bit as hot pink as you hope it is. I use it to mark all my cables and equipment and to make cue marks on the stage. I'll be buying lots more.Update!It is not (nor is any gaff as I have painfully learned) suitable for long term cable or equipment marking. The adhesive turns into goo after about a year in use and cleaning the cables and cable tubs out is a serious pita. This is not a fault of the tape, It was improper use on my part.I use the polyken neons for marking light cues on the stage, color coding lines and highlighting hazards. It is wonderful stuff ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well, even better would be flourescent *by P***. on April 30, 2014* I like this tape. I recently used most of a roll at a concert event and it kept folks from stepping on a couple of cords that I couldn't otherwise cover, as well as pretty much kept a conical area in front of a low projector clear in very low light so that folks weren't walking in from of my slide show. It definitely is better than duct tape - no residue, came off more easily - but I'm not sure it's better than masking tape. I should say I don't know that it's NOT masking tape with pink neon coloring. I did not see any residue left behind on the cords I used it on, or the concrete floor, so maybe that is an indication. But I think masking tape, left on for the same short few hours, would probably have done the same. Painter's tape, for sure. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for the classroom! *by A***R on August 4, 2016* I use this to mark lines on my classroom floor. The tape goes down in August and I peel it up in June with no problems. A little bit of the adhesive sticks to the floor, but nothing like any other tape lines I have used before. There's about a 90% difference (for the better) than any other tape. I love that you can just pull it off. No more having to scrape and tear off of the floor piece by piece in June, after 10 months of gross kids shoes and whatever else is on our floor by June. A lifesaver!
