The recommended min rough opening for this window is 32" W X 22" H (Width X Height). The exact size is 31 34/" W X 21 3/4 H which is a tip to tip frame measurement which does not include the nailing flange. The nailing flange can be utilized for new construction applications or can be scored and removed for remodel installations. **Q: Can the window be perched at a different open position besides completely perpendicular to the frame?** A: Open fully the window is perpendicular (90-degrees) to the frame.
