I read many reviews that stated to order a size up because they run small. I ordered a size 6 for my 5 year old, who normally wears a 6-7 because she is tall and thin. This kimono fit perfectly. Anything larger would have been to big. The kimono is absolutely beautiful, the colors are so vibrant. The only suggestion I would make is about adding an inner tie, like the adult one so that the kimono stays tied a little better. I didn't want robes that were too short and it seems that is the problem with a lot of the robes on Amazon, but these really give you the length to the knees on both adult and the kids. The color is so vibrant sorry for the crappy lighting but the color is so much better then the picture I attached.
