(NOW UPDATED) *by O***T on Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2018* I have been using sleep masks for well over 15 years since hearing about the health benefits of maintaining a totally dark sleeping environment. I have gone through many different styles always with disappointing results. This style is by far the best I have experienced!! It is made with comfortable and durable material. It has ideal eye pouch depth that doesn't put pressure on the eyes and does not touch eyelashes. The nose bridge material conforms and covers the nose without any noticeable leaking of light. The side vents are great for air flow also without any leakage of light. The strap is strong and comfortable and keeps the mask relatively well in place even with side sleeping. Compared to all the other masks I have tried this mask is by far the most effective and impressive and well worth the price. Overall this mask is of high quality material/workmanship and highly effective with very little leakage of light, if any. I highly recommend this mask!!UPDATE: Upon initial purchase and use of this eye-mask I was very satisfied with its performance, however now I am extremely disappointed in its performance, specifically due to the issue of the dye's that have been used on the strap are bleeding and staining my pillowcases and sheets. I had been using a black pillowcase up until just recently so the leaking of the black dye from the eye-mask strap was not evident but once I started using a pillowcase that was not black (now white) the problem became obviously noticeable and also the stains were not entirely able to be removed from the cases and sheets. I was initialoly very pleased how well the mask functioned but now totally disappointed regarding this issue. I just checked the reviews on this product and notices that other buyers have had the same issue. Given that the eye-mask was selling for only $8.00 I should have shied away from it to begin with. BUYER BEWARE - Unless the manufacturer and seller has solved this problem I would not recommend this eye-mask to anyone. I have been using sleep masks for about 2 years because my husband stays up late watching t.v. and the light bothers me. Of all the sleep masks I've got off Amazon this one is the best durability wise. It is large and I feel like a bug wearing it but that doesn't bother me. Ok so I noticed about a month in that I could see through it a bit. Not enough to were the light bothers me bit be warned. The nose area was tricky to get used to but does let little light in. I'd say 95% these are black out. Then I noticed when I'd wake up I'd have lines or imprints on my cheek bones. And the mask isn't super tight. Honestly I don't mind it because I do get a great night sleep mostly to the mask. It doesn't get hot or sweaty and keeps most light out. It is somewhat awkward to get used to sleeping with it because it is so big and a little rigid buy not uncomfortable. I didn't know if they would let light in or if they would make the mask too stiff. I was pleasantly surprised when I used it. I have chronic migraines and a big trigger for them is light. This mask did a great job at blocking out the light & I definitely noticed the benefit of the side vents. I was able to feel that small but of air coming into the mask. The only reason I don't have it as 5 stars is the mask is a little stiff to me, but I have noticed it getting better with regular use. Also, I had to modify the mask nose. I added a little extra cushion to make it harder for any light to get in.
