The leather cord and stainless steel brackets are quality and sturdy. The hammer itself has a good weight to it and looks more expensive than what I paid for it. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase. I also wanted to add that I bought the 19.5 size which is a good fit for women or smaller boned male. I am on the thin side of average and I have a tiny bit of slack just enough to rotate it or let it slide up my wrist maybe 1 inch or so. This is a comfortable fit.
