Review: Works well - Covers well. I made transparent glaze like effects. I layered several colors on top of each other. The impasto worked well. The Gell mixed with Blick heavy acrylic paint very well. It’s a good extender. It stuck to heavy plastic the kind you put over a broken widow. I was painting sets.

**Q: when mixing with an acrylic color - does the color dull?**
A: No

**Q: Can this be used for ceramics?**
A: depending on what you mean, depends on the answer.  If you are using it for crafts to glue pieces of finished ceramics to something or to adhere as in mixed media collage or assemblage, then yes.  If your question is to use for creating ceramics with a kiln, I have no idea.  but I would doubt it

**Q: How clear does this dry in thicker spots?**
A: In my experience, it dries pretty clear. It will have more texture in the thicker spots and you can see brush strokes if you're using a brush to apply it.

**Q: Is this the same a matte gel medium?**
A: Matte gel medium  doesn't have a shine. Regular medium has a glossy look.
