Review: A Much Welcomed Old Favorite! - Went to a baby shower where the guests were asked to bring a book to build up the new baby’s library. I wanted this to be more meaningful than simply picking a book off the shelf. I’m 71 years old. This was my absolute favorite book as a little child. Must have read or had it read to me literally hundreds of times! I was thrilled to find this Golden Book still in print. Many of today’s kids don’t even know what a Little Golden Book is! Note: I also bought one of the lesser known Dr. Seuss books…”The 500 Hat of Bartholomew Cubbins”…which was a favorite of mine as an older child!

Went to a baby shower where the guests were asked to bring a book to build up the new baby’s library. I wanted this to be more meaningful than simply picking a book off the shelf. I’m 71 years old. This was my absolute favorite book as a little child. Must have read or had it read to me literally hundreds of times! I was thrilled to find this Golden Book still in print. Many of today’s kids don’t even know what a Little Golden Book is! I LOVE The Color Kittens - A Little Golden Book - My Granddaughter is having her first child ( my first great - grandchild), and I purchased this book hoping it would be like the original - It was, even the drawings are identical! I was so pleased, and I think my granddaughter ( and daughter ) will be too. It's a wonderful, happy, fun filled story. I recommend this little golden book to everyone
