Review: Cheaper than Good Cat Food - 5.19.22~ Stay with me here. I'm not saying this is cat food. What I'm saying is most foods, my meat loving feline approves, are expensive. Her current fave is 'Almo' that has jumped to almost 2 bucks for 3 oz can. Little Miss "I-don't-have-a-job-and-won't-eat-cheap-tuna" loves 'Wild Planet'. The cans are not cheap either so was thrilled to find these pouches. The price fluctuates but usually can S&S at about a buck for a 3oz pouch. The bonus here is I like it too. So instead of having to buy separate cat food, we have one tuna for the house. Nice quality, Clean-looking filets. Just enough water to pack. (Add extra to cat's offering). In addition to satisfying cat standards, probably higher than Harvard, It's yummy as a "steak" on a salad with lemon & salt or mixed with mayo on crackers. Please 'Wild Planet' whatever anomaly makes this affordable, don't change it. From a Sustainable Perspective, 'Wild Planet' is on the Certified List by seafoodwatch.org (a non-profit site). Great food good for our heads, hearts & bellies. Enjoy
Review: about as good as tuna gets - Good flavors, no additives, no lost omegas. Very natural and not particularly "fishy" flavored, making for a solid protein source on-demand. It comes out of the pouch in a thin slab like pate, but takes just 30-60 seconds with a fork to break into it a more familiar consistency. I suggest adding olive oil, salt, peppers, and seasoning as you do that. Top with your favorite hot sauce and serve on a hot pita. YUM! But the big thing here is the type of tuna, how it was caught, and its low mercury content. Unlike the attitudes us older folks may remember towards dirt-cheap, low-quality, mass-caught tuna in the last century (with huge amounts of by-kill wasted)-- today tuna is high-value, increasingly rare, an overfished and overstretched resource, and many species have absorbed the toxins we've put into the oceans. Line caught, faster-growing species from sustainably managed wild populations of "young" fish are the only way we get to keep eating tuna in the future. So, buy this better stuff and make sure tuna doesn't become a thing people "used to" eat. Recommended.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Tuna
*by R***. on July 15, 2022*

Good brand of Tuna. It does have a bit stronger flavor that other brands but I don't mind that myself. I usually eat mine right from the pouch but I have also made sandwiches and wraps with this Tuna and if you add onions, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. it helps with the stronger taste. All in All a nice low cost source of protein.
