Every other one I've tried had flimsy handles that buckled and were completely useless. We do not have pets but I have medium length hair that sheds like a sheep dog. And if I can't manage to get it off the carpets it twines itself around the vacuum cleaner rotors and eventually burns out the motor. It's very hard to remove it from the vacuum so this will make the job so much simpler. The first time I used the broom was not long after vacuuming the house and it picked up a fist full of hair. The handle is sturdy even when it's telescoped to full length and locks in place. I'm very pleased and would highly recommend this great broom. Review: Best Fur Broom There Is - If I could give this 10 stars I would. I have a very hairy Norwegian Forest cat and even my pet Dyson struggles with the hair. Been looking for a good broom to lift hair off the carpet for ages. Have bought 4 different ones all of which were in no way strong enough and the handles gave way. This might be more expensive than some but it's definitely worth the price. Quite scary how much hair it picks up. ## Features - Removes Fur: The 100% natural pet hair remover rubber broom attracts pet hair like a magnet to easily remove fur from carpets, rugs, hardwood and linoleum. That being said I have hardwood, tile (multiple styles), laminate and carpet. This broom is a GIFT on all of these surfaces. I have four dogs, two who shed their undercoat twice a year and without this broom my life would be way worse. I LOVE this broom. I love it so much I bought two. I have also used it on my turf outdoors. Best broom ever. **Q: Will this broom help to loosen cat hair embedded near the wall edge of Berber carpet?** A: Hi Susan - About cat hair and your Berber carpet - If the hair is sitting on the surface of the carpet and not entangled in the hook of the Berber - Here is what I would do - spray water on the surface so the hair become damp and are more likely to stick together. Then I would use the flat side of this rubber broom. The flat side acts in the same way a wiper does to clear a window of water. You would be raking the fur into a pile..then physically picking it up. I love this broom...use it all of the time. Friends and family are amazed when then see how easy it is to scrape dust, dirt etc all into a pile. When you use a broom, debris gets lost in the straw of the broom and often gets redistributed. Back to your question. I have another Amazon purchase that I love. It is a Black and Decker 18 (I think) Volt rechargeable hand vacuum. It has a nozzle that would suck up dry cat hair. Then you would empty the plastic waste container...which is easy to do. What I think would work well is a damp sponge in hand... wiping the baseboard as well as the carpet. Tossing the hair in a trash bag. Remember the hair is on the surface and you don't want to embed the hair in the Berber. Just wipe it, clear it, vacuum off the top. I hope that this answer is helpful. Best regards, S. **Q: How well does this work on carpets? I have a long-haired dog and have to clean the vacuum brush weekly.** A: My two dogs have a particular rug they like to lay on so it's always coated in dog hair. I had high hopes for this for quick cleanups and not have to vacuum that rug every day. I was super disappointed. The rug is dark and the dog hair is light so I know it's there, but hardly any hair was picked up, I got more with wetting my hand and wiping it. **Q: Will this work on short, coarse dog hair? Thanks!** A: Yes amazingly well short brush strokes. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Brilliant! *by N***W on 17 August 2020* I looked for a long time before I found this broom.
