When I used these stickers, the only way they stayed on the wall was when I used tape on the backside to keep it there. However, I did also use them on a finished dark wood nightstand, and I haven't had ANY problems with those. Stick perfectly on & they're easy to take off, too. They looked GORGEOUS when we put them up. But she woke up the next day to 1/2 of them having fallen off the wall, despite our following the instructions on how to apply them.
