That usually means that you can pull the tape out, and it will lock as you go. Then you push a button to retract the tape measure. This tape measure has a regular locking feature. As you pull the tape out, it will retract until you manually lock it in place.I will be returning this tape measure and will look for a tape measure that actually has an auto-lock. ### ⭐⭐ FALSE DESCRIPTIOM!
