In this instance, I hope (if you're reading this) you haven't already made the same mistake.This is NOT an Infra-red lamp. While it is probably a perfectly useful white light, if you're hoping to use it in darkness to better illuminate the view for your infra-red security cameras, then this will not make you happy. I'm not happy.I don't quite know how Amazon got away with putting it in the IR category. I guess one might argue that the white light spectrum will at some point include the infra-red frequency. Except I don't want all of them, as this light produces.I then assumed there must be some misunderstanding, as the lamp does go out with a light level sensor, I assumed this was it switching (maybe?) to IR. Again...nope...its just a plain, white, bright LED light.Don't buy.
