The pictures do not show one but is does state "draw string"** A: No, the one I got did not have a draw string at the waist. **Q: How thick/ heavy is the material?** A: Id prolly rate it a medium heavy. I bought these to work in. I work in a big very hot plant and I needed something loose with pockets. I luv these. They ended up being my favorite of the two different pairs I bought. The fit is good and they are excellent! A button did fall off though. **Q: So I'm 5'5 and 120 pounds and my legs are kinda long, what size should I get?** A: I'm exactly 5'5, 119 lbs, long legs, and I got the M for the orange ones, and it stretched out so much that it became too big (I have to tie the string at the waist otherwise the pants fall off. Very wide in the leg area). So I bought the S for the red pants, and it is good in the legs and for the length, but it is a bit tight in the waist. I am hoping that it stretches like the M so it becomes just right. Since the sizing is a bit confusing, and it seems to change with the colours, here's how it worked for me: I'm 5'6, 120lbs, thighs 22in, hips 36in, waist 29-30in, athletic build. The M (size 2 US) fits me perfectly, both in the waist, legs and for the length. This is for the "orange max" colour. The material is fairly light but not cheap, perfect for summer/spring, the pockets are functional and the colour is exactly as pictured. The waist is low, like I wanted it, but not too low. I would say the large is a 10-12 and medium is 8-10. XL is a 14 in my opinion or larger. Sizes are not true, in between sizes. The material is heavy and nice. The style is great and these truly are comfortable to wear. I love the quality and style so much I ordered another pair in a different color and got one for a friend. The price is great for the quality, which you would expect to cost more. I was surprised that they didn't cost more based on what you received. See photos of tags showing XXXXL in camo and XXL in black, and then the photo of the black pair literally seven inches wider than the camo. It's like a cruel joke.Super cute when they fit. But this is not acceptable.Edit re Olive Green: I fell for Amazon's Buy Again and ordered the same size as the pants I bought a few months ago.
