Unfortunately, I should have passed on this. Right out the box all seemed okay. The vacuum seal seemed to work fine but the next morning, I walked into the kitchen to hear the motor running, the batteries nearly dead, and there was no seal. I installed fresh batteries, and this time I added a little weight to the top. The seal held for two days but failed after that. The worst thing isn't that the product doesn't work; I ruined premium Hawaiian coffee beans that I trusted to the container. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars This thing is great. Whenever the pressure in the container increases to a certain point, it activates the pump for a few seconds. It uses 2 AA batteries. I've been using it for a week. After removing and cleaning the seals of which there are two, upper and lower, the seal is much better. now it lasts for about a week. I don't leave the batt. pack in, just when needed. batt. are to expensive to leave in 24 & 7!
