At first it heated up with more intensity but now its highest setting isn't as warm as it used to be. I've had it for a year, but I only use it during the winter months, so we'll see what happens this upcoming winter. Also the heat isn't distributed evenly, some areas of the blanket don't heat up at all which is annoying. I had expected the heat levels to be like my heating pad, but the blanket did not feel like it got quite as hot. I still think this is a good product though!
