That being said, they state that the small cup holds 4 1/2 ounces. If you put that much in there it will be floating at the top of the rim. Now for the 14 ounce cup. NOT even possible. I put 12 ounces in and it was to the very top of the rim. I would consider this a 10 ounce usable space. I haven't tried them yet so I will let you know once I have if they are worth the money. Dropped it in the sink when it slipped out of my hand.
