The original radon/sump Dome is designed to cover an existing Basin - providing a new heavy Duty cover to seal the basin against radon gas and odors; to provide adequate safety. There is No reason to dig up your basement or garage floor to remove the existing sump or Sewage Basin. Simply remove the old cover and install the Original radon/sump Dome over the opening, to create a new, completely sealed system.

Review: Worked perfectly to seal my sump and add radon mitigation. - The sump pump cover arrived just as shown. Nice molding and thick walls. Everything fit together well. Following another reviewer, thank you, I used a reasonable amount of silicone seal on all the pre-installed plastic nuts and let it set up. Also put a small amount of silicone grease, or you could use Vaseline, on the stainless bolts which allowed then to screw in with very little force and none of the nuts fell off. My cement floor wasn't perfectly level but again, a good layer of silicone seal, almost two tubes, allowed for a good seal. 1/4 inch by 1 1/4 Tap-Cons with stainless fender washers, you need 12, were used to anchor it to the floor. My sump pump discharge pipe is sch 40 1 1/2 inch. The included seal worked great. The threaded fitting for the radon pipe connection is for 3-inch sch 40 threaded pipe adapter. If you have 4-inch pipe, you could use an adapter which for an inch or so, wouldn't slow down the flow very much. If they provided a 4-inch adapter, that would make this cover perfect. I put the provided lid bolts and washers through the lid while upside down resting on a flat surface to hold them in and applied the lid rubber seal over the bolts. After turning the lid over to mount, the seal stayed in place and the lid was easily bolted down. The supplied rubber grommet allows the sump pump wire to seal well and I added another small hole for the wire to my sump warning switch. There are several other sections in the grommet if you run another wire for another pump or something else. Pulling out this grommet from the lid will allow easy removal of the wires when you need to remove the lid for pump replacement. The added viewing window is a plus so you can see what is going on under the lid. This is a good sump pump cover which allows for the needed disassembly when sump pump service is needed. I've seen some covers that just have a plate with tons of silicone which would make disassembly a nightmare. I should have installed this cover years ago.

**Q: Picture says ita 21" in diameter but dimensions say 28", which is it?**
A: The diameter inside of the dome is approximately 21" but the dimension from the outside edge of the flange (that mounts to the floor) to the opposite outside edge of the flange is approximately 28". Hope that makes sense.

**Q: Your graphic says 21inches while the product description says 28. My sump pit is 22.5. Which measurement is accurate?**
A: Both. The outer flange is 28", which will cover your sump pit. The cover in the middle (the round disk with the holes) is 21". It should fit perfectly over your pit.

**Q: Can it fit 3/4 inch pipe ? Do you have rubber seal for included?**
A: It has no threads so you cannot screw a hose or pipe.  It’s strictly to be used as a drain hole.

**Q: I have a pit dia is 19inch and dirt floor how do I make a tight seal**
A: If you don't have a concrete surround for your pit, you would have to build one as a first step. Simply excavate some of the dirt around the pit, build forms to create a floor area larger than the cover, and pour some concrete to create a flat floor area around the pit.

The sump pump cover arrived just as shown. Nice molding and thick walls. Everything fit together well.
