Will report back if it was just a dud or a continued trend.***December 1st update***I'm 6 days into testing the product for review and I finally started getting decent results with PETG by heating the bed to 90C and increasing first layer print temp.I was on my 5th successful full plate ina. Row when the 6th took a nice chunk of the material with it.Getting a replacement to see if it's just a fluke or the surface is just too fragile.******The plate is eerily similar to the official Prusa textured PEI sheet. Texture is nearly identical and th look is actually more pleasing. A darker black vs the brown of the official one.I ran numerous PLA prints and it works great for PLA. Adhesion was great and once the bed cooled the print would pop off. I feel it's actually better with PLA than the original.Sadly the main material I print is PETG. All 9 test prints failed due to warping. I had initially user 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean the bed and that worked great for PLA. After the first two PETG prints failed I cleaned it again thinking it was a fluke and I put some greasy fingers on the bed.3rd print failed. Switched to a different brand of PETG. Failed the next two prints. Switched to another brand and the first on failed. Tried cleaning with acetone like Prusa advises with theirs. 9th print just failed twenty minutes ago to warping.Tried hotter bed temps, lower bed temps, and the squish is spot on.For PLA this is great. Will it recommend for PETG. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simply awesome! *by J***I on November 30, 2018* As others have mentioned, the textured PEI spring steel sheet has been back ordered from Prusa for a long time now. I bought my Prusa MK3 printer with the smooth PEI sheet in September with plans to also order the powder-coated sheet. Tired of waiting, I did some searching and quickly found this one. Hesitant, I took a chance and I'm really glad I did. In all fairness, I only had time last night to make one print. The part I printed is a flat cover for small tool holder. Printed from opaque orange PETG, the face of the cover looks simply awesome. The PETG had no problem adhering after calibrating my first layer for this thinner sheet. I was pleasantly surprised at how pronounced the texture appeared on the part. It really looks like a professional. As recommended by the manufacturer, I let the bed cool before removing the sheet from my magnetic bed, then gave it a slight bend and my parts slid right off. Very impressed. The last thing I'll note is how this is really a two-for-one product. I'm sure at some point I will damage or simply wear out the PEI surface. When I do, I can just flip the sheet over and I'll have another brand-new textured PEI surface on the other side. I'll make that my reminder to order a new one for when I wear out the second side. I can't imagine anyone with a Prusa MK3 would be disappointed with this purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great replacement for my original pei smooth sheet *by D***1 on November 20, 2018* When my Prusa PEI smooth sheet became hard to adhere to, I sought out a powder coated sheet which I wanted to begin with but was and is still unavailable from Prusa. I came across this, it had no real reviews at that time but I jumped in head first and purchased it hoping it would work as expected.I waited a while before leaving a review because I was concerned with the durability of the sheet due to the thinness of the sheet. Printing PLA on this is a breeze assuming you have all your calibrations dialed in beforehand. Sticks well, removes easily once the bed has cooled down, and I usually never have a need to clean the bed before my next print. The only time I clean it is when I have touched it or I feel it needs a wipe down after extended use.Printing with PETG seemed somewhat harder than with the PEI smooth sheet. The print adheres well while heated, and once it cools to below 70°C I can hear the print begin to 'pop' off the plate. I usually can then just pick up the print without removing the bed, which is pretty awesome. Downside is that it does not adhere as well as the smooth pei sheet so I have had failed prints, mostly if the print is tall. It's hard to know if its the bed sheet or one of the other 100 variables that can affect the print's quality. Most of my PETG filaments are translucent, which takes away some of the texture effect from the powder coating surface of the bed. Overall I am happy with this purchase.Also take the advice from the manufacturer and do not use acetone or other strong solvents to clean.
