I first saw them on food52 website. I was hesitate because of the price tag so I waited month to buy them. Finally my old ones broke so I had to buy new ones. Yes they are made from plastic, however you would not know it. It's a very sturdy plastic and looks so nice in my kitchen. I see some people complaining that it's not a fine grind. You can adjust the grind on each one and instructions are attached. I have no problem with the grind and thinks it grind pretty fine! They are pretty, i got the ones in nude and they go perfect in my dark kitchen.
