After I get the water out of the basement, I use the light in various sections to help decrease the incidence of mold and mildew. Lately though, after having read that it also can help with insect problems, I've been using it steadily for a last couple of months. It's taken a couple of weeks of constant use in one area, but the spider webs have crumbled and I am seeing less spiders wandering around down there.I've had other UV lights and have smelled the ozone from them. I've yet to smell any ozone with this one though. I mainly use this in bathrooms once or twice a month. I have to keep the bathroom fan on the entire time while using it and for about 30 minutes or so afterwards. There is a remote control so you can operate it without being in the room; which is nice because you shouldn't expose your eyes to it while it's on.
