It seems to work fine and provides the 2.1A needed for fastest charging. I have only used this combination for a few days so cannot say anything about long term durability. I should mention that the first unit I received had one light not working and was promptly replaced by desertcart. Perhaps not ideal build quality but seems to be well designed circuitry. It even tells you the type of battery tech charging in each slot! - LOVE the versatility! This thing charges all kinds of batteries including lithium ion! Generally speaking, if it looks like anything from aaa up to D size, this thing will charge it. It even charges my vape batteries which is huge bonus! Cons: - proprietary USB charger so if you lose the cord it becomes a paper weight. - D size batteries need to be held down.
