I did not open the cans, and if no emergency arises I may never open them. Therefore product taste is not a consideration for me. I figured any crisis bad enough to cause me to open these cans will be serious enough where I'm not going to be overly particular about how things taste.In my comparison shopping I did learn that it is important to know how many calories the product is assuming per day. This product assumes a reasonably generous1,900 per day. Similar products I came across from other companies sometimes assume a daily caloric intake that seems too low to be sustainable and healthy, and that felt misleading to me.I'm new to this, but what I ultimately felt was important was the dollar per calorie ratio. Again, comparing across products from other companies, my back of the napkin math made me feel like I was getting a good deal here, particularly given the shelf life of the product of 25 years. This means that I'm not going to have to spend more any time soon to replace an expired product.Finally, I will add that when the package arrived, it was not what I ordered. I contacted the company late on a Friday afternoon not expecting to hear back until Monday. I was pleasantly surprised to see a response within about 10-15 minutes indicating that the correct product was shipping out and that I should just keep the incorrect product as a way to make up for the inconvenience.It was really refreshing not to hear some line of b.s. about what went wrong or give me some excuse like you usually hear. They owned the issue and corrected it. Plain and simple.I'll close by saying that if you are looking for a convenient emergency food supply at a reasonable price point, given a respectable number of calories per day and an excellent shelf life, I found this to be a decent place to start.Since I haven't actually eaten the product I was going to give this 4 stars, but sending out the proper product promptly without a hassle is worth 5 stars to me any day. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A good, required calorie kit at an affordable price. *by I***! on Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2019* Just received my 3 month kit today and got it all unpacked and stored away for a real crap day. It seems that Nutristore thought of everything. Proteins, fats, carbs, sugars, it’s all here. Sealed in steel #10 cans with a white plastic lid to reseal after you open them.Like the previous reviewer stated, I also shopped around for the best kit with the most calories for the best price and found that most kits had either low calories or a ridiculous price or sometimes both. This kit solves that. Bonus.I also don’t plan on opening these until I need them but as I researched, I read reviews of the individual cans and I was pleased with what I read about how they reconstitute well and the taste isn’t at all bad. Bonus.I also love that you can customize your meals, that’s another big bonus for me. Gone are the days of chili mac in a pouch, chicken Alfredo in a pouch and strawberry cream of wheat in a pouch.The only thing I think they could improve on would be the can labels. They are paper labels that tear extremely easy, even from putting the plastic lid back onto the can. However, the cans do have the contents printed on the bottom with the manufacturing date. Not that big a problem.I received my kit mid May. The manufacture date on the cans was 03/19. Nice and freshly packed!
