My Main Coon mix is too large to fit inside the top cubby hole, and the perches are kind of a small space for him, but when he curls up (as he is want to do!) he has no issues! The only problem for our boys is them wrestling over the highest perch whilst on the tree. As in, they fight while up there to try and knock the other off. After a few months of this we have had to tighten up the screws a bit because they were getting wobbly. However the base is plenty sturdy and my cats love this tree! Honestly for this price you cannot beat it, other trees I've seen this size (and some even less sturdy) go for about $200. **Q: Mine keeps coming loose...any suggestions on keeping it together Mr.Odd loves his tree!** A: If its a threaded bolt, nut or stud coming loose: Blue loctite on all the threads if you ever plan on disassembling it. Red loctite if you NEVER plan on disassembling it. Or some other sort of thread locker, those are the only ones I have used. I use a wand toy to rev up the cat, then I drag the toy up the tree. The cat gives chase and ends up on the tree. I repeat that often. To improve the attractiveness of the tree, I put it near a window in the living room where the cat can easily look out the window or look down at me when I am home. Finally, I suggest offering a reward each time the cat uses/ scratches the tree. The cat associates the tree with the reward. If my cats want something, they scratch the tree. Then I figure out what they need. (pets? play? food?) One time cat A scratched the tree frantically because cat B was trapped in a closet. It will take an hour or two to put together *by H***R on March 10, 2025* The box itself is heavy of course so definitely make sure if you live in an apartment or have several stairs that you have help getting this inside. I noticed anything heavy seems to be left downstairs and not at my door. Had a neighbor not helped me I wouldn't have been able to get this up the stairs. The cat tree I put together Christmas day as I didn't have a place to "hide" it until Christmas morning for them (silly, I know 😜) and it took me about 2hrs to get it fully built. I didn't have any difficulties with it except the ramps which I will say to screw the piece that attaches to the ramp first and then screw it to the tree and definitely make sure to screw that on BEFORE you attach that level to the tree otherwise you have to bend over trying to find the right spot to screw it in and it becomes a pain of either laying the whole tree down to do it or trying to get up and under to do it. So definitely attach those first. My cats do love it although they won't got all the way to the top seat and Idk if it's because they can't see out the window up there or if it's because they are scared but they do use every other part of it. I throw their toys all over it to keep them busy while on it. I will say we had this since Christmas morning and it's now March 9th and the ropes are already coming undone from my cats scratching on them which is their purpose so I wish those were glued better or had 2 layers but I'm guessing I will probably have to buy some of that rope online and redoing it myself when the time comes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lasts long term *by A***M on May 25, 2025* I’ve had this cat tree for 4 years and it’s held up great!
