We watched it three times today, and I know we will watch it tomorrow before the time runs out around 3pm. Already, I'd feel like I got my money's worth out of the purchase. But this boy is not done with this movie. So it's either rent it again and hope he moves on, or do what I probably should have done in the first place. Just bought it. And I've never seen Monsters University, but I know I won't make the same mistake twice. Also, like most Pixar movies, you'll also enjoy this exceptionally made, timeless classic. I can't believe I hadn't seen this myself either, and Pixar never disappoints. So even after all the runs, I don't feel like pulling my hair out. I genuinely want to watch the prequel, which looks as good as the original. Review: Top 10 favorite - This movie is perfect. Writing is a 10. Voice acting is a 10. Animation is a 10. Music is a 10. I purchased this movie because it was part of a 2-for-3 deal, with the ultimate cost being less than $13. For that, I got three discs: 1) the original DVD; 2) the Blu-ray version; and 3) a Blu-ray of extras. I almost missed the Bonus disc because it was hidden behind the digital code sheet. Also, the DVD was on the same spindle as the Blu-ray, just stuck behind it, which is rather unconventional. You also get the online digital version to watch anywhere you have a strong internet connection. The movie itself has enough to entertain both kids and adults, and provides an interesting take on whether the monsters of our dreams are the "bad guys," sort of how Wicked turned around many thoughts about the Wicked Witch of the West. My only quibble about this movie (other than price) is that the menu system is a bit odd and takes trial and error to figure out. Menus should help the user, not cause confusion.
