We also use Red Tacky on the lift chains and if you spray it close to the links the grease penetrates pretty well. It goes on as a foam but quickly condenses and soaks in. What do you think!?** A: It would work and prevent rust but probably be messy. Grease is sticky and it would cause dirt, dust, mud, to stick to the frame. The issue would be getting the product out of the can since it is an aerosol. The colder it is the more trouble aerosol cans can be since the temp affects the pressure in the can.
