I had to see them operating side by side to realize this. Furthermore the one I got has batteries and will run 24 hours a day in bright sun. This sncoto solar fountain pump does not have a flotation platform so can only be used in small aquariums, not in my pond. Although, like many solar pumps, it more or less stops working when the panel gets shaded, it works well enough. I like that the solar panel looks more or less finished as opposed to one of my other solar pumps’ panels that looks like an unfinished DIY job. The panel is also small and subtle so that it can be hidden behind a medium perennial or small bush.
