I am a private chef and caterer so my livelihood depends on having a good knife and, though I have many knives, I have found myself reaching for this one again and again since I bought it. One thing buyers should know before purchasing is that it is a very lightweight knife. Personally, I have very small hands I'm not a great deal of upper body strength so I much prefer a lighter knife over a heavier one. I have really enjoyed using this one because it is almost feather light and my smaller sized palm can wrap around the handle comfortably without feeling the need to squeeze, which is something i often unconsciously do when using a heavier knife at an event, presentation or client's home, if I happen to not have my knives with me.It's a very versatile piece too and i have used it, so far, to chop herbs, nuts, fruit, veg, meat and fish. The length is just right.Definitely the right choice for those looking for a lighter cutting tool in the kitchen. I'd also say it would make a great starter knife for teens and young people getting comfortable in the kitchen and developing good knife skills.
