I needed something that held every thing together and was tight enough to provide support but I still needed to be able to breathe and move around. This shaper did just that, when this was delivered I looked at it and thought it there was no way this would fit, surprisingly I was able to put it on the last set of rows so I could have possibly bought a large I was able to wear it right on my skin and not have to wear a tank top under it like I have had to with other supports/ shapers I have bought. It is by far the most comfortable shaper I own. I like the softness of it as well as the elasticity. . My only issue that the boning bent when I sat down but it did not roll down or up it stayed in place. It is almost unnoticeable under close fitting shirts. I bought a small and a medium, just to be safe. The small is pretty tight, even on the last row of hooks and eyes. It holds in my belly pretty well, however it is lumpy and bumpy. If you wear anything over it that's form fitting, you can see the edges, the seams, and the boning. People can tell you're wearing it. I was going to wear it under a black, form fitting stretch cotton dress this weekend, but you can clearly see that I'm wearing a corset.
