It's not bulky, it stays on, if it does get wet from rain it stays warm, dries quick (I use the trucks defroster vents on low while at work) wicks away sweat, comfortable. The hat is hasn't "pilled up" or got fuzzy like most regular beanies do. I usually wear cuffed watchcaps, I was surprised how big this hat was, but not in a bad way. I sometimes cuff it twice to make it fit like a watch cap. Since it's so thin it dosent look goofy cuffed twice. Initially the hat was too tight and didn't seem like I was going to wear it. But Im a big guy with a large head (6'4 7-5/8 hat size) I wore it for a few hours and it loosened up, fits perfectly. Washed it multiple times per label instructions, still looks great. Honestly my favorite beanie I own( i own about 15) would definitely recommend and buy again.

**Q: What head size is the "One Size" Minus33 Merino Wool Ridge Cuff Beanie**
A: It means it's for "average" sized domes. The respondents claiming it will comfortably fit all head sizes are likely the same 5'10 guys claiming to be 6'1". I don't wear hats, thus cannot relate to hat size. I however wear a size 62 motorcycle helmet. This is determined by measuring perimeter of dome from just above (15mm) eyebrows. I am 61.8 cm. As delivered new, this beanie is very snug and barely covers down to mid ear. 

I soaked mine in cold water for 5 minutes then stretched and tugged over my head. Finally, let it air dry at room temp fitted over 1 gal paint can to 'block it', preventing shrinkage. This worked for me such that it doesn't pull down as low as i'd prefer but its no longer so tight to give me a headache.

Imported.  I brought with me two other beanies on my trip to Iceland. Out of the 3 I used this more as it kept me warm (in below zero temperature with wind chill)
