It turned into a sandpapery hard stone which got me to the conclusion that it is an alien spore camoflauged as a cute teardrop inviting grey sponge which metamorphosizes into an alien once it touches your face . It will scrape your skin off and use that as a portal to enter your realm and now you have been infiltrated👽. The sponge is very hard until you thoroughly soak it. Don't try to use it unless it is really wet. Then I put some soap on it (I use a natural soap that easily rinses clean), and run it over my face. I find it very helpful for the bumps I occasionally get on my chin from face masks. It makes my face very clear and soft. I use it only two or three times a week. I think every day would be too much, at least for my face.
