It is very convenient for me. The biggest problem is the central ring- it has to be small enough to fit the chain and big enough to fit the carabiner. Ring like that is hard to find even in finest hardware stores. So this one- 12,29 mm one- is just right. 13.77 one should be good too, as I have used 14 mm.
