A white background with bold, textured, vibrant colors really make this marvelous piece of art pop. It's clean, durable and stretched over a wooden frame ready to be hung. Mine even came with a mounting clip for the wall and a pair of white gloves so I didn't have to risk getting dirt and oil from my hands on the canvas when I mounted it. As far as people suggesting it was too small... I'm not sure why you'd say that. It clearly says the measurements on the item, and they're quite accurate. I was a bit worried due to some reviews, but mine came out looking even better, I think, than the photo. I saw a few on here that weren't of great quality, so I was worried I might get a bad one, but it's perfect. I named him Freud, like Sigmund. Definitely a conversation starter. One thing I'll mention is that I saw a review complain about the big blob of pain on top of his head in the black area. This is the styling of the painting. They give you thick textures, and the blob of paint is to give his hair texture. You can tell they're working from some sort of template to be able to mass produce these...but at least it's a REAL painting, and not just a print.
