The harsh soap will dull your blade and shave years off the life of the shears. Take my word on this, spend an extra few seconds and wash these puppies by hand. **Q: Why are they more expensive on amazon then they are direct from Cutco?** A: CutcoKid sells at the same price - other people jack up the price because some people will pay that. CutcoKid never goes above website retail and it’s all new in package product **Q: Is the blade portion shorter than it used to be?
