The max I see is 40". More to the point, the inside back height is about 27.5", and I wanted more so I did not have to "slouch" to rest my head comfortably. The assembly instructions are somewhat lacking (pictorial), but, for me, that was not an issue. The hex wrenches you need, are supplied, but having a needle nose pliers and a electric drill with the proper hex bits, speed things up. All in all, I had it assembled in less then an hour. Just wished It had 2 more inches of back! ### ⭐⭐ Rocks *by J***. on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on December 25, 2014* It is probably damaged. It "rocks" from side to side and it is only supposed to swivel. When it rocks it makes a "metal on metal" sound....unpleasant. After about 10-20 minutes the body weight of the person slides to the right side of the chair. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/8724121-oslo-collection-vinci-914-103-swivel-recliner-and-ottomon-in](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/8724121-oslo-collection-vinci-914-103-swivel-recliner-and-ottomon-in) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
