Our 1/8th scale version of this popular racer is 28 inches long with a 9 inch beam. The wood framed hull is covered with expanded pvc and then planked with mahogany veneer. Like our other Chris-Crafts this kit features the finest materials including chrome plated dack fittings complete drive line hardware flag and burgee. Each kit contains everything needed to build a beautiful static display model for the office or den. Or make her RC with a two channel radio Dumas #2025 motor NiCad batteryand speed control. You will want to make the powerful Racing Runabout the next addition to you fleet.

Review: Take your time - This turned out to be my favorite build so far. This was my first boat build. First know if you run into any issues such as advise or if you break a part the folks at Dumas are a phone call away and they will actually talk with you! I had some trouble with the directions, but I usually have trouble with directions in general. I found You Tube to be very helpful. Unlike plastic models this is real wood and you can always fix screw ups with real wood. No mine is not perfect, but it turned out good enough that my wife displayed it on the big eating table! I did not add the RC to this boat however I am currently building the Dumas triple cock pit boat and I am thinking it my get the RC kit on the other hand these are so nice I may not want to put them in the water.

**Q: can this be set up for R/c use?**
A: Absolutely. In fact I don't know of anyone who did not build this boat for RC. Dumas also sells a motor and running hardware set just for this boat. But there are many options out there depending on what you want to do... (go fast or go scale)... She looks NICE out on the lake... GREAT choice for RC!

**Q: Can you build the boat completely then make it an RC at a later time?**
A: The kit includes the running hardware. It is easier to install these parts during the hull build and before the upper deck build and planking. The separate r/c equipment can be installed upon completion.

**Q: Does this kit include the styrene strips used to finishing the decking ?**
A: Yes

**Q: Do you need to buy a stand for this boat, or does it come with one?**
A: You can build your own, or contact Dumas Boats.

This turned out to be my favorite build so far. This was my first boat build. First know if you run into any issues such as advise or if you break a part the folks at Dumas are a phone call away and they will actually talk with you!
