However, I found an 'RCA /AUX male to 3.5mm male cable' and then a 'female 3.5mm to female 3.5mm' converter on desertcart for under a £tenner and they work great, but I do have separately powered speakers. It is a shame the karaoke unit doesn't have a simple 3.5mm output. I didn't try the USB socket, which I think is input only. Not sure if it offers any output or power supply? Overall, am delighted with the purchase when paired with I-Pad and additional speakers. I think it could be used in a professional environment (pub etc). But in a typical room in a house, it won't disappoint. Update. I can now confirm that the karaoke machine USB port does offer 5V power output. Hence , I could directly plug in speakers having a 3.5mm Jack (via 3.5mm to RCA/AUX converter) and the speakers USB power cable and it all works great. In summary, to get the best out of this unit, an I-Pad/Android and supplementary speakers is desirable, plus a subscription to additional songs.
