(= *by Z***Z on July 19, 2018* This has been one of the hottest items in my kitchen (literally). It does what it's supposed to and it's very sturdy. All it takes to clean this off (if need be) is a little rinse or just a bit of soap and water. It covers the plate and hugs the corners of the plate to the point where you can even pick it up by the handle (with the plate inside) and place it in the microwave! Of course it has to be a round plate. Please do not try that with a non-circular plate. After heating, the cover can slide off easier if held by the handle because of moisture so be careful if you pick up the cover/plate after heating in the microwave. If I needed to, I'd buy another one of these. It seems it may last forever. (= 3/22/19 Edit; This thing is dynamite for my kitchen! I actually purchased the black one in July of 2018. I purchased the red one for a friend a few day ago. (= Why?
