## Description

This is reed spline, used to hold cane webbing in the groove on cane chairs. Please use the chart to determine the size you need. The spline comes in 6 foot long pieces, so a quantity of 1 will get you one 6' long piece of the size you choose. A quantity of 2 will get you 12', a quantity of 3 will get you 18', a quantity of 4 will get you 24' and so on. Please make sure to choose the correct quantity and size you need. If your chair has holes drilled in the seat frame, you do not need spline.

**Q: Trying to restore curbside find. We accidentally got rid of spline ages ago, so don’t know size to get. Groove opening is 3/8” at top...?**
A: There is a chart in the listing that tells you what size spline to purchase based on the width of your cleaned out groove.

**Q: Is it possible to order this in a custom length?**
A: I don't remember if the site I purchased from custom cut, but there are sites that do I believe.

**Q: Will this work for the delicate trim on a wicker chair?**
A: I guess, but it's not very "delicate ."  Plus, it's not very long . It wasn't enough to do my project.

**Q: If I need #9.5 but cant find it, is it better to go with #9 or #10?**
A: I would say #10. It is slightly soft. You could cut/sand it down some too, if needed. I used mine for missing trim on antique furniture. I'm definitely not an expert on chairs.

I needed to recane an old family chair. Within covid era was difficult to find. This worked out perfect as they had multiple sizes to order. I picked up a discarded chair and was inspired to give it back some life. I measured and ordered from them again. It’s not enough to do two chairs which in this case didn’t matter as I needed a different size. There was an extra 12”&18” left over from the chairs. It came in about a weeks time, packaged nicely and was of good quality.
