They also act as a stop valve when not connected to the machine.Pressure indication, 1-60, not always correct, but close. Increments of 1 vs 5 on our sleep nr select comfort bed....(the one with the horrible warranty)Instructions not included, but fairly straight forward common sense.For sleep nr beds just cut the hose, not too short, slide the quick connect/stop valve over the hose and connect to machine.It pumps slower and deflates slower with a bit less noise.
