The clock obtains the time from WWV [radio call sign for ] National Institute of Standards and Technology Time & Frequency shortwave radio station.If you like to depend on accurate information, this is the clock to purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Projection Clock - Have owned several *by T***S on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 24, 2018* Over the last several years I have owned about 4 projection time-temperature clocks. Without hesitation I can say this is the best of the lot.The clock is on a shelf above our bed and projects about 3-4 feet. Due to this short distance previous models were not in focus and there was no way to adjust the focus short of changing locations to increase the projection distance.This clock has a focus ring and the projection is clear and easy to read. Additionally, it projects the time continuously and alternates temperatures between inside and outside. Previous clocks I’ve owned alternated between time and temperature. The only thing I would change is to not have the indoor temperature displayed, but you can’t please everyone. Since we use this I our bedroom I can’t say how easy it is to read in full light.I can’t attest to longevity since I’ve only had it for about a week, but I see no reason it will not last as long as others I’ve have owned. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a good projection clock.Be advised it does not come with batteries. You will need 5 “AA” batteries.
