I agonized over the sizing but fortunately this company has free returns, which says to me they back their product. I usually wear a 7.5 - 8 (but lean more toward 8), and went with the 8 so I could wear some thicker socks in the winter. The 8 was a perfect fit. Even with a thinner sock the 8's still fit well. I wore them all day on day 1 and had some slight blistering, which is to be expected for a sturdy leather boot like this, but it was nothing excessive and I was able to wear them again all day the following day. I'm extremely happy with this boot and the quality of them. I can't wait to wear them again! If you're agonizing over sizing like I was, I think they're pretty true to size, so if you're in between sizes like I am, go up to the larger size, otherwise I'd advise to order your normal size, but as I mentioned before, they have free returns so that helps make life a lot easier! Thank you Chippewa for making the return process so easy and hassle free on the other pair I sent back! I have seen many people wearing them both for work and for style, and I finally ordered a pair. The sole is very durable and has great tread; I don't see it wearing down anytime soon. The boot actually fits over my calf, which is rare. The adjustable strap on the top of the foot and on the calf help make them the perfect fit for you. Comfortable snake protection. *by G***T on April 3, 2014* Snake season came early in Southern California this year and Western rattlesnakes have great camouflage. It's nice to have some protection while I walk my property and clear brush. These boots are lightweight and very comfortable. The quality is very good and they are made in America! They have plenty of toe room and were comfortable from the first wearing. I generally wear a size 6 in street shoes, and a 6.5 in athletic shoes and boots.
