They all basically do the same thing - enable easy access to roof bars / top box etc. The main reason for choosing this one was the design of the rubber protection strip which wraps slightly under the base (which the others did not do). And it works as I had hoped - protecting the car's paintwork both when attaching the step and whilst it is on. I also like that the step surface is finished in rubber. The price was very competitive - especially given the quality of the item. It's big enough to feel very stable when in use but small enough to slip in the glovebox (in the fabric case provided). Very impressed indeed! ### ⭐⭐⭐ I'm sure it would have been great, if it had fitted *by A***R on 3 December 2018* This item is very well made and seems robust. The only issue is that it'll only work if your door latch is a simple metal U.
