I was able to install them on 4 different cabinets, each with challenges. I did not find the instructions useful and the adhesive back helped stick the items in place when I was working out the right location but I did not trust it for the final installation. When you put in screws, it also changes the location a bit. You cannot put these close to any metal. One vanity had a metal plate in the center of the doors as a stop. So I had to move the latches a couple inches away. Not a big deal but not mentioned in the installation instructions. In the end I got them installed everywhere I wanted them but it was not super simple. Maybe it would have been easier if I had studied the installation instructions more carefully, however. One magnet to open them in 4 different rooms is also not going to be very handy but I can get some more. They seem to work fine and the ability to turn them off when the grandkids are not here is a nice feature. So I had to buy a whole new kit to have what I needed.The locks are like an invisible fence because the kid winds up forgetting about being able to get in drawers bc they are locked so when you forget to lock a few, the kid does not notice like they used to prior to installing. I recommend this product. Having alot of keys is handy, fyi. Esp in kitchen when cooking. They work! But we did have one break threw although it may have been my fault for not fully closing them. The only annoying thing is that in order to get into the cabinet, you have to have the magnet "key." I keep it on my fridge and I have a small kitchen so it isn't a big deal but in a larger kitchen I can imagine it being annoying.
