Also, it doesnt seem to have ANY effect on the dog. I've got two of them and they dont appear to work. I've tried it on multiple dogs with no effect. **Q: does this have a red laser pointer for dogs to chase?** A: It has a light that shines out of it when you press the button. I'm not sure if that is supposed to be a deterrent or not. However, the ultrasonic part doesnt seem to have any effect on dogs, at least in my experience. It worked very well. I looked long and hard for this replacement because I didn't want one that had a sole focus on barking issues.This one works exactly as advertised. It has a flashlight mode training mode and deturant mode for use against aggressive or unleashed animals that you do not want to interact with you dog.I have 3 stubborn pups that I have struggled with the basic come command. They know it they just don't. I call, I clap my hands to get their attention the buggers just ignore me half the time.I beeped the trainer mode once to get their attention then beeped it twice and gave the command. They instantly got up and came to me.
