I had two different diameter tubes where I could mount this bracket. I picked the larger diameter. I measured the tube's circumference with a cloth tape measure and used my high school math (and google) to determine the diameter. My math said the bracket would be very slightly undersized. I figured there was leeway. There is not. Even though I could get the strap part of the bracket onto tube, the bolt holes in the strap wouldn't line up with the body of the bracket because the strap was slightly short. Returned that one to Amazon. Since I had ordered the largest bracket and it didn't fit the large tube, I determined that I needed to move to the smaller tube. Again with the tape measure and the math, I ordered what I thought was the right size for the smaller tube. It came, I mounted it and now it was too big! Couldn't get it tight on the tube and it just swiveled. Even with the included foam tape under the strap and the bolt tightened so hard I feared it might strip the head, which is hard to do with a hex head bolt. I decided not to return it and try to make it work. I started grinding the bracket body to make it smaller so the bolt could tighten further. After grinding away most of the bracket, I finally got it tight enough. But now I had what was obviously a much weaker bracket. I went to grind the other bracket in the pair and I ground it so far that it split in two. So now I had to order something new anyway. Suddenly a light bulb went off over my head. I own a digital measuring caliper device! (One of those cheap ones from Harbor Freight) Why didn't I just use that in the first place! Sure enough when I put the caliper on the small tube, the measurement came up that the tube was almost exactly (within hundredths of an inch) the next size lower! I ordered it. It came quickly. Installed it easily and had a nice tight fit! Or the aggravation (and money) I could have saved. But now I'm very happy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product. Worth the money for what you get *by T***. on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 11, 2021* Great product. Sturdy, rigid and appears to be made of good, quality materials with some attention to detail considering what you are purchasing. Definitely a more than fair price for the quality (I've seen some with extremely lower quality, cost double) and what seams to be durability. I Do have to warn anyone with a 2021 Honda Pioneer 1000-3 with a rigid Honda roof on the bike that you will want to remove the roof before installation of mounts as they have to go over the roll bar and with roof in place is quite difficult to push over roll bar. (I know from experience lol) Ended up breaking one of the mounts trying to force it up under the roof and over roll bar at the same time. (Also how I can attest to how rigid/strong they really are lol) After installation of mounts reinstall roof in normal fashion. Sounds bar mounts, will not be in the way of roof mounts, whatsoever.
