These shoes did not hold well in a marathon race. The support failed.Half Marathon and 10Ks would recommend, the mile count is low on these bad boys.Happy Running ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Non-minimal, but lightweight excellence *by C***T on December 18, 2010* These are seriously the best running shoes I have ever owned. I purchased the Musha 2s because I actually wanted the Wave Universe 3s, but I was unwilling to pay $130 for them. I wound up getting the Musha 2s for 60.00 from Runningwarehouse.com - the best shoe/running gear supplier on the web, PERIOD! (No, I don't work for them, but they are really that good).The Good:- Very light weight - Right at 8 oz for my size 12s.- They look amazing. Literally everyone who looks at my shoes comments on them; on runs, at work, at church - people take notice and give positive feedback always. (I guess this level of attention from others could be viewed as a negative by some).- The cushioning is minimal enough to be tolerable for someone who is accustomed to barefoot/minimalist running, yet is abundant enough for use by typical neutral-gaited runners as a race-only/light training shoe. This is my go-to shoe for cold weather runs or when I am recovering from a long run or race barefoot.- Durability: Mine have held up incredibly well for a "racing flat" - over 150 miles so far and still looking nearly new. This says nothing of the cushioning breakdown, mind you, because I don't care about cushioning and support in my running shoes.- Fit: Wider toe box than most racing/XC flats you'll find, which provides excellent comfort... although it could still definitely be wider. The heel cup is perfect. The lacing is placed appropriately. It's really good overall.The Not So Good:- Like many others have said, the "sparkly" laces a a bit... well... feminine. Yes, this is an easy fix. (Neon yellow Yankz match the yellow on the sole/piping).- A minor complaint: The laces are difficult to tighten evenly all the way up and down the foot unlike every other shoe I've ever owned. This is strange and difficult to explain, but it's like the laces, interwoven with the plasticy "sparkly" material, "catch" or are slowed on each of the sharp lace holes. I think this is due to the holes being cut directly into the synthetic (faux leather-like) fabric rather than nylon or plastic eyelets in the vast majority of other trainers. It's a small annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sweetness *by T***N on June 18, 2010* Pros: They cost less than the Mizuno Wave Univerese 3 and are still extremely light, are broke in straight out of the box, provide excellent support for over-pronation whatever that is.
