I purchased it for our office lobby because we wanted something elegant and tasteful. This fit our needs perfectly. We have a 9.5 foot tree which is pretty wide and if I were using this at home, I would probably want a little wider tree skirt to balance out the tree; but this still looks very nice - I didn't want anyone tripping or walking on it as they came through our lobby.
